Professor Aftab Ahmad I.T

Dr. Aftab Ahmad is a distinguished professor, researcher, and author specializing in computer science, cybersecurity, wireless networks, and communications engineering. He currently serves as a Professor of Computer Science at City University of New York (CUNY), John Jay College, in the Department of Mathematics & Computer Science, where he previously held the role of Acting Department Head (2021–2022).

​

With a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Communications Engineering from George Washington University (1992), Dr. Ahmad has built a career spanning academia, industry, and research, making significant contributions to network security, cybersecurity education, wireless communications, and machine learning applications. His academic journey includes faculty positions at DePaul University, Norfolk State University, University of Mississippi, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (South Korea), and the National University of Sciences and Technology (Pakistan).

Research and Contributions

Dr. Ahmad’s research focuses on cybersecurity, wireless networks, artificial intelligence, and digital forensics. He has successfully led and contributed to numerous funded research projects, securing grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). His funded projects include:

Dr. Ahmad’s work on privacy in IoT, network security, secure wireless communications, and digital forensics has been widely published in top-tier journals and conferences, and he has served as an editor and reviewer for leading academic publications. His books, including “Wireless and Mobile Data Networks” (John Wiley & Sons, 2005) and “Data Communication Principles” (Springer, 2007), are widely used in academia.

Teaching and Curriculum Development

Dr. Ahmad has designed and taught graduate and undergraduate courses in areas such as cybersecurity, cryptography, memory forensics, malware analysis, artificial intelligence, and blockchain applications. He has held adjunct faculty positions at New York University, Stevens Institute of Technology, Old Dominion University, and the University of Maryland Global Campus, shaping the next generation of cybersecurity and computer science professionals.

​Qaisar J. Qayyum, BSc, MBBS, MD, ABIM

Dr. Qayyum earned his MBBS from Liaquat Medical College (LMC), Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Pakistan, in 1985. He completed an internship at Cabrini Medical Center, New York (1993–1994), followed by a fellowship in Special Immunology/HIV at the University of Miami, Florida (1994–1995). He then pursued an internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital, Chicago (1995–1997). He also trained for one year in an infectious disease fellowship program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Qayyum is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

​

Dr. Qayyum worked in the United Kingdom from 1998 to 2001 before relocating to Oklahoma, where he practiced geriatrics for 20 years. He currently serves at the VA Geriatrics and Extended Care Department in Oklahoma City and holds an academic appointment as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Oklahoma University Health Science Center.

Over more than a decade, Dr. Qayyum developed a keen interest in herbal medicine. Through extensive self-directed learning, literature review, and personal experimentation, he formulated several effective herbal treatments. His passion for complementary medicine was sparked by witnessing remarkable results from a herbal agent in managing an ongoing pain issue, leading him to explore innovative solutions in this field. Dr. Qayyum’s innovative formulations integrate traditional herbal approaches with evidence-based practices, offering new possibilities for pain management.

Dr. Qayyum is committed to advancing integrative medicine by bridging conventional medical practices with complementary therapies to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Dr. Amatul Basit Khalid, M.D.
Board-Certified Internist | Educator | Author | Philanthropist

Dr. Amatul Basit Khalid is a highly experienced, board-certified internal medicine physician with over 25 years of expertise in acute, sub-acute, and long-term care. She earned her MBBS from Punjab University, Lahore, and completed advanced training in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Medical Center and Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine through 2028, Dr. Khalid specializes in adult and geriatric care, palliative care, and end-of-life decision-making.

​

Currently, Dr. Khalid serves as the Lead Physician at Christiana Care Primary Care in Middletown, Delaware, where she provides comprehensive outpatient care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management. She has held leadership roles such as Chair of the Ethics Committee at Chambersburg Hospital and has served as an attending physician and medical director in nursing homes and assisted care facilities. She has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing policies for pain management and palliative care.

​

An accomplished educator, Dr. Khalid mentors medical students, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants through institutions such as Christiana Care Health Services and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Her academic contributions include research on pulmonary embolism diagnostics and lymphoma, presented at national conferences, and she has been a panelist on palliative care discussions.

​

Dr. Khalid is also deeply committed to community service. She has led medical missions to Guatemala, Ghana, and Liberia and actively participates in local and national women’s organizations. As the founder of Hands in Hands with Help Foundation, she supports humanitarian initiatives globally. In addition, she is a published author under the pen name Dr. Hooria Noor, with works that explore resilience, reflection, and the human experience.

Her dedication to advancing healthcare and her community-focused leadership have earned Dr. Khalid recognition as a compassionate and visionary physician and educator.

Midhat Qamar, MBBS
 

Dr. Midhat Qamar is a licensed medical professional with expertise in critical care, general surgery, and telemedicine. She earned her MBBS from Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Karachi, in 2018. Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), she is registered with both the Irish Medical Council and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

​

Dr. Qamar began her medical career with house jobs at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi, and Fazle Omar Hospital, Rabwah, Pakistan, in 2020. She further developed her clinical expertise through roles such as Resident Medical Officer in surgery at Dr. Ziauddin Hospital in 2022. During her time there, she briefly joined a postgraduate surgery training program but chose to leave after 1.5 months due to dissatisfaction with the program’s structure. She continued her duties as an RMO, a position for medical professionals who have completed their MBBS and house jobs but are not engaged in postgraduate training.

Her critical care experience includes working as Resident Medical Officer in the ICU at Al-Mustafa Hospital (2024), where she managed critically ill patients and performed life-saving procedures. Dr. Qamar also served as a lecturer at United Medical & Dental College (2022–2023), mentoring 1st and 2nd-year medical students with a commitment to academic excellence.

 

Dr. Qamar recently joined Shifaam Healthtech Pvt Ltd as a telemedicine general practitioner. While patient consultations are in the initial stages, she remains committed to providing accessible, high-quality care through virtual platforms.

Dr. Qamar has also contributed to research on diabetes and mental health and is passionate about holistic medicine, focusing on the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of patient care. Proficient in digital tools such as Microsoft Office and telemedicine platforms, she integrates technology seamlessly into her practice to enhance patient outcomes.

With integrity and dedication to professional growth, Dr. Qamar continues to align her practice with modern medical advancements, striving to deliver patient-centered, comprehensive care. ​​​

Professr Hanna Saadah​

​

Dr. Hanna Saadah is an esteemed physician, educator, researcher, and writer with a distinguished career in internal medicine, infectious diseases, geriatrics, and medical humanities. Born in Lebanon in 1946, he earned his M.D. from the American University of Beirut before completing his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC).

​

Throughout his career, Dr. Saadah has been a leader in medical practice, education, and research. He initiated and directed the Adolescent Medicine Service at OUHSC and has remained a dedicated faculty member, mentoring generations of medical students and physicians. He currently holds the title of Emeritus Clinical Professor of Medicine at OUHSC’s Department of Geriatrics and serves as an attending physician at the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

​

Dr. Saadah has made significant contributions to the medical field, including five key discoveries:

  • Developing and introducing the Occipital Nerve Block procedure for headaches, now widely used worldwide.

  • Demonstrating the resolution of vertigo through hyperlipidemia treatment.

  • Pioneering the use of statins to treat Post-Cholecystectomy Syndrome.

  • Identifying and measuring headache fear as a key factor in Medication-Overuse Headache Syndrome.

  • Defining Pseudo-Dyspnea, a false sensation of shortness of breath linked to reflux esophagitis.

 

A prolific author and thought leader, Dr. Saadah has published over 40 scientific papers and 77 medical articles, in addition to nearly 200 works in the humanities, including poetry, essays, and fiction. His books, ranging from poetry collections to novels, reflect his deep intellectual curiosity and commitment to the humanistic aspects of medicine. His literary works, many of which donate proceeds to charity, are available on Amazon.

His exemplary service has been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including:

  • First Annual Charlotte S. Leebran Memorial Journal Award for best scientific paper in the Journal of the Oklahoma State Medical Association.

  • Deeds of Mercy Award for charitable contributions.

  • Honorary Citizen of the State of Excellence Award in recognition of his literary contributions.

His students describe him as a compassionate, inspiring educator who seamlessly integrates clinical expertise with deep humanism, shaping the next generation of physicians with wisdom, empathy, and intellectual rigor.

A lifelong advocate for medical humanities, Dr. Saadah continues to teach, lecture, and write extensively on aging, dementia, medical ethics, and the intersection of literature and medicine. His enduring legacy reflects an unwavering dedication to medicine, scholarship, and the compassionate care of patients.

Syed Mansoor Ahmad, MBBS
Integrative Medical Practitioner: Bridging Allopathy and Homeopathy

Dr. Mansoor graduated with an MBBS (MD) in 1990 and earned ECFMG certification in 1993.

As a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan in Anesthesiology, he has extensive expertise in clinical medicine and a deep commitment to patient care. Alongside his allopathic practice, Dr. Mansoor developed a passion for homeopathy inspired by personal experience during his pre-medical years, where chronic sinusitis resistant to conventional treatments responded effectively to homeopathic remedies.

In Pakistan, he practiced professional homeopathy under his allopathic medical license, utilizing his dual expertise to provide holistic and integrative care. While he has no formal homeopathic schooling, his practical experience and dedication to patient outcomes have enriched his approach to healing.
